Multi leaf hinges are made up of three or more butt-hinge leaves with barrels and/or pins on both sides of interior leaves. The pivot direction generally alternates on a single leaf; that is, one side of an interior leaf allows the hinge to be opened from 0 to 180 degrees while the other side of the same leaf allows the hinge to be opened from 180 to 360 degrees. This type of hinge provides solutions for applications that require more than one or numerous points of rotation. Multi leaf hinges are used for a variety of applications, including residential cabinetry, industrial doors, and windows.
